For those of you who've played The World Ends With You, have probably heard about "points" that the Players and Reapers accumulate over the course of the week in which the Game is played. The points determine which Player goes back to the RG, and those who don't. And also determine if Reapers can survive without being erased through the week.
However, here at Shibuya Underground points will be given to Players and Reapers both based on the challenges set up to hinder Players by the Reapers, how the conflicts (read: fights) between Players and Reapers play out, how fast Players complete their missions and the tactics they use to get through the challenges presented by Reapers in their way and Noise slain to pass through walls set up by, yours truly, the Reapers.
Points will not be used to determine who survives the week, so don't worry about that. However, they can be used by Reapers and Players for bonuses. For Reapers they can be used to purchase new Noise pins to put up better fights against the powers of the Players, even if those Noise are defeated the pins are kept and points are still earned.
For Players, points are used to purchase new skills. Players with the Pin Psych will be buying new pins to use in battle, as well expending to evolve pins already in their arsenal. While Players of the Medium Psych can use points to strengthen their medium, add some versatility, etc. that basically focuses on refining what their medium can be used for and how it's used Besides this, points can also be expended to bribe Reapers into opening the walls they've set up to block Players from reaching the area beyond. However, using this method will also cost the briber any points they'd earn for surpassing that challenge which could have it's drawbacks as the bribes could cost more points than earned if the challenge had been beaten by normal means.
Points will be credited at the end of every day. Reapers will naturally gain less points, on account of them only having to purchase pins that they can use without need of evolving or leveling. Pin Psych players will also gain more than other Players due to the fact that they have more need for the points.
The amount of points each character has accumulated will be listed in a separate thread entitled "Point Count" which can be found on the Rules board. The amount earned will be added by an Admin or Moderator. Whenever a purchase is necessary, the roleplayer will make a post in Modification Requests, which can be found in the main topic Accepted Characters, detailing the Pins they want added to their arsenal and the amount spent to gain those pins. An Admin or Mod will then check to see if you have enough points and if the listed pins cost sum is high enough to be subtracted from to pay for the pins.
